Michigan Home to the Oldest Person in the World

Regardless of your age, this story will make you feel young! Jeralean Talley of Inkster, Michigan is now the oldest person in the world, according to Detroit's WXYZ.

Talley is 115 years old, born on May 23, 1899. She became the oldest person in the world yesterday, with the passing of the Gertrude Weaver from Arkansas. Weaver held the title for less than a week, following the death of Misao Okawa on April 1st.

Talley says she doesn't take credit for her longevity. She gives that credit to God.
