What is The Great Food Truck Race?

Now in its 18th season, The Great Food Truck Race on Food Network continues to fuel the craze. Hosted by Tyler Florence, the show pits food truck teams against each other in challenges for a grand prize of $50,000.

Michigan’s Flavor Hits the Road

This year, Michigan is proudly represented in the lineup! Detroit-area food truck owner and chef Quiana “Que” Rice will appear on the new season with her truck, Cooking with Que. She posted on Facebook:

“We’re bringing bold food and good energy every step of the way. Tag a friend & let them know Detroit is in the building. Let’s show the world what it looks like to #EatToLive and why Cooking with Que is more than a brand — it’s a movement.”

Premiere Date & First Challenge

According to Warner Bros. Discovery's Betsy Ayala, the upcoming season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. The new season premieres Saturday, August 3 at 9:00 p.m.

The season kicks off with a banana-themed challenge featuring the Savanah Bananas baseball team. One truck will be eliminated in the debut episode.
