Michigan DNR Says Campsites Closed Until June 21
The Department of National Resources has updated their opening dates for outdoor recreational sites in Michigan.
According to their website, state campgrounds, overnight lodging and shelters are expected to open up on June 22nd. State forest campgrounds and DNR operated harbors will begin to open on June 10th.
Dispersed camping on state land is on hold until May 15th and Sanitation stations (or dump stations) are closed through at least June 21. Also due to the COVID-19 pandemic executive order, all group events and special programs will be canceled until further notice.
The DNR site states they will not be able to honor reservations prior to June 21st and options for reimbursements are available or customer changes can be made by calling 800-447-2757.
