This time of year thousands of Americans are hitting the road. Whether family vacations or trips to visit relatives, hitting the road is on the radar and that means stopping to grab a bite along the way.

For decades the iconic truck stop has been a traveler's haven. Truck stops are often seen as mere pit stops, places to refuel both vehicles and weary travelers. But across the country, they transform into a culinary haven offering a slice of homely comfort. Granted, they offer a great lunch or dinner, but for some reason, there's nothing quite like a great truck-stop breakfast.

Whether you're a trucker on a long haul or a family on vacation, American truck stops offer a breakfast experience that's like no other. It's not fast food on the run, but a homestyle breakfast on the fly. For just that reason, Cheapism put together a list of America's Absolute Best Truck Stops for Breakfast.

"Truck stops, all-night diners, and petrol station adjacent eateries offer a lot more than just fuel. They’re often some of the best places in town to grab a bite, especially when the sun has yet to rise... these are some of our favorite finds using tips from Google reviews, Trip Advisor, trucker forums, and Reddit's trucker subreddit", they wrote.

From their list of just 15 truck stop breakfasts worthy of being considered the best, one spot in Michigan earned a nod.

For bigger appetites, the Big Rigger with three eggs, pancakes, French toast, and choice of meat should do the trick!"
