Michigan DHHS to Issue a Face Mask Advisory for Indoor Gatherings
The MDHHS to issue a face mask advisory ahead of the holiday.
In an announcement today, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services plans to issue a face mask advisory and offer guidance for the holidays. This Public Health Advisory will recommend that everyone over the age of 2 wears a face mask while attending indoor gatherings no matter their vaccination status.
Along with the face mask advisory for indoor gatherings, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services recommends that establishments implement a similar face mask policy for anyone entering a business, including staff. The face mask advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
Not only is the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services going to issue the face mask advisory, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has also issued some recommendations when it comes to holiday gathers. The CDC recommends getting vaccinated, wearing masks, social distancing, and washing hands.
With all of that said, make your decision and let your family and friends know what it is. Let's not make this more of a problem than it needs to be. If you want to have everyone wear masks and socially distance at your home, do it! If you don't, do that too! After you have made the rules known, others can make their decisions on whether or not to attend. There is no need to judge others for the decisions they make in their own lives. We all make decisions according to what is right for us and that should be good enough for friends and family. Agreeing to disagree doesn't have to be a bad thing, it's called respect.
