You know what they call it when one politician gets arrested? A good start.

Brian Ellison, a Libertarian candidate for Michigan's 8th district in the U.S. House of Representatives was arrested on a domestic violation charge

Police tell WXYZ that Ellison and his wife were arguing while they were driving in the Madison Heights area. Mrs. Ellison, who was driving, put in earbuds in order to silence her husband's yelling. He yanked the earbuds from her and scratched her face. Ellison then pulled over to let her husband out and went home to phone 911.

Brian Ellison was arrested on one count of domestic violence, assault and battery.

The Libertarian candidate made headlines earlier this year when he campaigned on the platform of giving guns to homeless people.

Game over.
