Michigan 12-Year Old Faces Felony After Threatening School Shooting
School shootings are no joke and a 12-year-old South Lyon boy is facing felony charges after threatening to "shoot up" his middle school.
Staff members at Centennial Middle School tell police that two students reported that the boy said he was going to bring an AK-47 to school on Tuesday (9/18) and "shoot up the school."
The boy was charged with one count of filing a false report of terrorism, which is a 20-year felony, according to the Detroit News.
He was taken into custody and remains in a juvenile detention facility.
