Marriage Proposal At Cubs Game Strikes Out

His name is Greg. He's a big Chicago Cubs fan, but he's at the ballpark today to propose in a way that she will always remember. His marriage proposal just go as smoothly as planned, could it?  He popped the question via the video scoreboard during Monday nights game at Wrigley Field. There was just one problem — she wasn’t in her seat at the time.

She couldn't have picked a worse time to grab a cold beer. She left her seat in the middle of the fifth inning and, wouldn't you know it, the message popped up on the big scoreboard.  It read, “Erica, will you marry me?” Meanwhile, the poor guy who traveled all the way from Great Falls, Montana with his girlfriend sat all alone as the message flashed.

Before the inning ended she returned and eventually saw the message when it ran again. Lucky for him, she said yes. It had been that kind of day. Turned out to be a proposal that he will never forget either.
