Today (4/29) is the anniversary of the first wish which inspired the Make a Wish Foundation. Now, 40 years later, Make a Wish has granted thousands of wishes to make life just a little better for terminally ill children and their facilities.

As COVID-19 has changed the landscape for most of us, it's also forced charities to reinvent themselves and restructure money-raising events. This year, Michigan's Miracle Walk is being held online -- and you can participate by walking in your neighborhood.

So far, about 1,500 Michiganders have committed to walking in their respective neighborhoods in order to raise money to grant wishes. The walk takes place this Saturday (5/2) beginning at 9 am.

You can register for the virtual walk by visiting www.walkforwishesmi.org and you'll have until the end of June in order to raise money. More information is included in the video below from WXYZ, who will be hosting the event online.
