Madonna’s Family Winery & Vineyard for Sale in Suttons Bay, Michigan
An iconic winery and vineyard founded by Madonna's late father has hit the market in Northern Michigan for a little under $5 million.
The Ciccone Vineyard and Winery in Suttons Bay was founded by the Material Girl's late Father in 1995. Madonna is one of Silvio 'Tony' Ciccone's eight children, and the business is currently being operated by two of Madonna's siblings.
A Fully-Operational Winery
Ciccone Vineyard and Winery occupies 78 acres with a fully-functional vineyard and winery on the premises. Ciccone Wine is an established brand and the operation serves as a beautiful backdrop for 'Up North' Weddings.
The five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home (pictured below) could easily function as a unique bed and breakfast.
According to Mlive, 13 acres of the vineyard are currently planted with the potential for an additional 10 acres of grapes. All wines are produced and bottled right on site.
Who is Silvio Ciccone?
Silvio 'Tony' Ciccone was an employee of the Chrysler Motor Company in Detroit and then served as an optical engineer for General Dynamics. He and his wife Joan lived in Rochester Hills for around 30 years, and migrated to Michigan's beautiful north after they retired.
In 1995, they acquired the property where Ciccone Vineyard is located, planting five acres of grapes by hand.
He has since passed the operation on to two of his children. Mario is the manager, while Paula serves as the chief winemaker.
There is no mention of Madonna on the vineyard's website.
