Michigan is known for cars, lakes, and, yes, pizza. But one Michigan-based chain just found a way to one-up the other national brands – and it has nothing to do with cheese or stuffed crust.

Little Caesar's Just Dropped a Cool New Flavor

Of course the pizza chain we're talking about is Little Caesars. The Michigan original just introduced a new flavor that has customers talking, and it's not a new pizza creation. Instead, this new offering pairs perfectly with 'pizza pizza.'

It's a new creation that's exclusive to this Michigan-based chain.

What Cool New Flavor is Now Available Only at Little Caesars?

Little Caesars has collaborated with Mountain Dew to introduce an exclusive new drink: Mountain Dew Mango Rush. The limited-edition pop flavor just dropped this week and will be sold at all Little Caesars locations.

Mountain Dew Mango Rush is billed as "a tropical blend of flavors with a citrus touch and a juicy burst of mango." And because 12 oz. of pop isn't enough, the drink is sold in collectible 16 oz. cans. Collectible? Really? That's what they're saying.

Little Caesars in Michigan

The Ilitch family opened the first Little Caesars location in 1959 (coincidentally, 66 years ago today) in Garden City, Michigan. The chain has grown to become the fourth largest pizza chain in the U.S., behind Pizza Hut, Domino's, and Papa John's. There are about 310 Little Caesars restaurants in Michigan.

One site did the math and found that there is one location for every 32,216 people in Michigan.

Fun Fact: Even though Little Caesars is based in Michigan, two states (California and Texas) have more locations than the Mitten State.

Fun Fact: There are no Little Caesars locations in Washington, D.C.

So, is it the perfect pizza pairing or just a wild experiment? Let us know if Mango Rush really pairs well with 'pizza pizza.'
