Lion’s Sportwriter Dead At 51

Tom Kowalski, the longtime Detroit Lions reporter, was found unresponsive this morning and pronounced dead at the Detroit Medical Center in Oakland County. Known to friends as "Killer Kowalski, he has been covering the Lions since 1982. He has worked for Booth Newspapers since 1997 and was also a key contributor to MLive.com.He had filed his last story earlier today. He was a regular on Fox 2 Detroit and his WDFN drive time radio show was syndicated in Grand rapids on WMAX 96.1.
