Lions Fire Six Assistant Coaches

Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia announced on Tuesday afternoon that the team has relieved six assistant coaches of their duties.

Among the firings are special teams coach John Bonamego, who came back to the Lions after a stint as head coach of Central Michigan University which ended after the 2018 season.

The Lions just finished the 2019 season at 3-12-1 and will have the number 3 overall pick in next April's NFL Draft.
