The landscape of waiting rooms everywhere will never be the same...

Ladies Home Journal shared the news on its' Facebook page today...

Dear fans and readers: While Ladies' Home Journal will no longer be a monthly magazine, the LHJ brand will live on in quarterly issues on newsstands and tablets. Today we're celebrating 131 amazing years of telling the stories that matter to women, and we want to thank you for being a part of that legacy.

After 131 years in publication, the July issue will be the last for Ladies Home Journal. Meridith, the magazine's parent company, says that a declining circulation (6.8 million in 1968 vs 3.2 million currently), the higher median age of readers and a 23% drop in ad pages sold were all contributing factors. LHJ's New York office will be closed and the magazine's editorial staff of 35 has been laid off.

Current subscribers will be offered Better Homes & Gardens, More Magazine or Every Day With Rachel Ray instead.

I'm really going to miss the Can This Marriage Be Saved? feature. What LHJ feature will you miss the most?
