Talk about going WAY above and beyond for your job!

Dr. Amanda Hess was actually in the process of being induced to give birth to her second child at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Kentucky, when she overheard that a patient was also in labor and that the baby was in distress. The patient was actually a woman that Dr. Hess had seen a few times, so Dr. Hess snapped into "doctor mode."

She put booties on over her flip flops and another gown to cover her back, and stepped in to deliver the baby. And then, she went on to deliver her OWN child. Her contractions actually began just a few minutes after she delivered the other woman's baby.

I worked until two days before I had MY son, but I can't beat this. Truly unbelievable. :)
