Kim Kardashian Hints at No Kardashian Christmas Card This Year Due to Family Drama
Family drama may be the reason there's no Kardashian family Christmas card this year.
Kim Kardashian revealed the unfortunate news in a tweet on Tuesday. Her message came in response to a fan who said it seemed unlikely the family would gather for holiday photos, given all "the drama that happened last year," adding that they'd "be cool with a West family one tho! [SIC]."
"Wow," Kardashian, 38, replied. "Reading my mind."
It's unclear what drama the Kardashian-crazed fan meant. He could have been referring to the cheating scandal that rocked their reality TV empire or their struggles to get on the same page for their 2017 holiday shoot.
The cheating scandal played out on recent episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, giving fans a glimpse into just how uncomfortable the family was around Tristan Thompson after he was caught cheating on his pregnant girlfriend. During one episode, filmed within days of the cheating news breaking, the Kim, Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner descended upon Cleveland, Ohio to be present while Khloe Kardashian gave birth to her daughter, True Thompson.
Footage from inside the delivery room showed Kim making a throat-slitting motion behind Thompson, 27, on more than one occasion throughout the birth. Previews for upcoming episodes show Kim bashing Thompson, calling him a "f---ing loser" for blocking her on social media.
"When I see him, I'm going to, like, spit on him," she said in the preview, making it clear they hadn't patched up their relationship in the wake of his infidelity.
Earlier episodes revealed the Kardashians came close to putting the kibosh on their beloved Christmas tradition last year. Scheduling drama nearly threatened to cancel the Kardashian Christmas card in 2017, as the family – specifically Kourtney – couldn't seem to agree on a date and time to shoot their holiday photos.
Eventually, however, they managed to reach and agreement and tradition prevailed. The entire Kardashians spent the month of December 2017 plugging their photos on Twitter and Instagram by sharing snippets from the shoot.
Kim hasn't said any more about this year's Christmas card, nor has she shared any photos that may be it. If, in fact, the holiday photo shoot has been canceled, it will be the first time since 2014.
