Earlier this month, Justin Bieber caused an online frenzy when he challenged Tom Cruise to a fight on Twitter... and now it seems like a UFC match might really happen after all.

According to TMZ, a secret phone call took place between Ari Emanuel, the co-CEO of the company that owns UFC, and the "Sorry" singer's manager Scooter Braun. UFC President Dana White was also reportedly a part of the call and the three discussed the possibility of making the battle happen.

The website also reports 25-year-old Bieber "would absolutely fight" if Cruise wanted to do it, and that Emanuel believes the Mission Impossible actor would agree to enter the Octagon.

“I saw [Bieber’s challenge] like everyone else did and I didn’t pay it much attention,” White also told TMZ Sports on Wednesday (June 19). “I’m not gonna say any names, but I got a phone call from a couple of real guys who said that they really do want to do this fight and they believe that Tom Cruise would do this fight."

“If that’s true and everybody involved in this thing really wants to do it, we can talk. I’d be an idiot not to make this fight," he added. "That would be the easiest fight to ever promote in the history of my career."

Though it's still unclear if this fight is actually going to happen, Bieber knows he needs to get in shape if he wants to win. "He'd probably whoop my a-- in a fight," Bieber joked last week. "I'd have to get in some good shape. I'm really skinny right now. I think he would be out of my weight class. He's big, you know? He's got that dad strength."
