June is Great Outdoors Month

The month of June means that school will soon be out, warm and pleasant weather and time for family vacations. June is also "Great Outdoors Month" established by Presidential proclamation. Living in Michigan, we are surrounded by forest, lakes and rivers. When was the last time you got out and enjoyed them?

Get outside and enjoy the great outdoors! Put away the two-inch screen and look about you. Listen to the sounds of nature. Go for a hike, a swim, fishing or kayaking. If you have children or grandchildren, take them with you.

We've been cooped up indoors long enough. Time to enjoy the Great Outdoors during "Great Outdoors Month." Visit www.funoutdoors.com for some ideas. Living in Michigan, we don't have to go too far to enjoy the Great Outdoors. Go ahead, get out there. Leave your dumbphone at home.
