Joey Chestnut Ate 62 Hot Dogs In Eating Contest

Joey Chestnut is a lucky guy for the fifth time in a row, after winning a famous hot dog eating contest on New York's Coney Island. Chestnut actually ate 62 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes and also gets to take home $10,000.

NBC Sports says he consumed roughly 20,000 calories in order to achieve his goal. $10,000 is a lot of money, but I wouldn't want to be in an eating contest to win it. Joey must have felt sick after he ate the hot dogs, but says he felt great. I imagine he spent some time in the bathroom after the contest.

There was also a women's contest for the first time and Sonya Thomas was the lucky winner by eating 40 hot dogs. She's known as the Black Widow in eating contests.
