15 Most Commonly Stolen Items at Target Stores in Michigan
If you've noticed more everyday items locked behind glass at Target, there's a pretty good reason for it.
While you might think shoplifters are walking out with TVs and expensive electronics, FinanceBuzz says many of the products most commonly targeted are everyday items you probably have in your home right now.
Why Are These Among the Most Stolen Items at Target?

If you've ever wondered why Target keeps locking more stuff behind glass, this is probably your answer. A lot of these items are small, expensive, and easy to steal.
Why Target Is One of the Worst Places to Shoplift

If you're thinking about shoplifting at Target...I'd strongly recommend against it. According to Paypath, the retailer has a reputation for using advanced surveillance and other investigative tools to catch repeat offenders. In other words, it's probably not the store you want to mess with.

Speaking of shoplifting, I accidentally did it once.
Years ago, I was shopping at Sam's Club and found a backpack I liked. I tossed it over my shoulder, finished shopping, went through a regular checkout lane, showed my receipt at the door, and walked out to my truck. It wasn't until I started loading everything up that I realized I never paid for it.
I ran back inside, explained what happened, paid for the backpack, and thankfully everyone was cool about it. My heart was pounding, but at least it was an honest mistake.
