Huron County Group Wins Record $8 Million Lottery Prize

Talk about hitting the jackpot.

A Huron County lottery group scored $8 million playing the Michigan Lottery instant game, $8,000,000 Payout. To date, this is the largest prize ever won on an instant ticket in the Great Lakes State.

According to Michigan Lottery Connect, the winnings will be split among the three members of the Lucky Dogz lottery club, who just so happen to be family members.

An unidentified member of the club and family had this to say about their big win,

Our family often buys lottery tickets for holidays and special occasions, so my brother and I bought our dad a $8,000,000 Payout ticket for Father’s Day. Our dad scratched the ticket and then handed it to us to check when he saw he’d won $8 million.

We looked it over and then I scanned it to confirm what we were seeing. It was unbelievable when we found out it really was an $8 million winner! We talked it over and decided to split the prize equally among the three of us.

The family chose a one-time payout of roughly $5.5 million. For now, the plan is to save the money.
