
New Store Closure At Genesee Valley Center In Flint Township
Another store has closed at Genesee Valley Center in Flint Township.
Most recently, Macy's, a flagship store at the mall, closed. Before that, Forever 21, The Buckle, and BoxLunch had also left.
If my count is correct, twenty-one stores remain open at the Genesee Valley Center, not including kiosks.
From what I am told, The Family Puppy left Genesee Valley Center yesterday, Thursday, April 17th, 2025.
Currently, there is no information available regarding a new location, if one is planned.
In case you missed it, the phone repair place and sunglass kiosks in the center court closed at the end of March. I was not aware of this until today.
Rumors continue to circulate about what’s going to happen next with Genesee Valley Center, but unfortunately, the mall’s fate remains uncertain.
Are Big Changes Coming To Genesee Valley Center?
I visited Claire's in March to purchase accessories for the annual 80s prom at The Machine Shop, and the store was busy.
Hot Topic is another go-to for me from time to time. I’m not sure what the answer is to bringing people back into the mall, but I tend to find what I need when I shop there.
One of the biggest bummers when stores close at Genesee Valley Center is the loss of jobs for people.
You may also remember that there was talk about a chain restaurant moving into the former Bar Louie location, but I am guessing that was just a rumor, too.
