Injury Takes Miguel Cabrera Out for the Season [VIDEO]
It's game-over for the season as Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera has ruptured his left biceps tendon.
Cabrera will undergo surgery this week. The injury occurred during the third inning of last night's game against the Minnesota Twins. The Twins beat the Tigers 6-4.
The American League MVP missed 26 games earlier this season due to a hamstring injury.
Tigers Manager Ron Gardenhire expressed sympathy and disappointment saying the injury is "definitely a big blow for our ball club and that young man."
