Horse Shoes for Humans

Studies say the average woman has 17 pairs of shoes. So, would you buy designer shoes that look like horse shoes? These shoes went on sale at a festival in the U.K. and they come either ankle or knee length. One woman who bought them says they are really comfortable. I'm not sure if I could pull off a pair of shoes like this. Are they tacky?
