St. Patrick's Day is a lot of fun.  Please enjoy it responsibly by using a designated driver!

If you plan on starting early and staying out until the wee hours, remember that Michigan now has "Super Drunk" laws for people who drive with elevated blood alcohol levels.  If you blow a .08 on the Breathalyzer, you are considered drunk.  Super Drunk is .17 and above, or nearly twice the normal level.  First-time Super Drunk offenders face stiff penalties, starting with a 1-year license suspension, up to 180 days in jail, fines up to $700, mandatory substance abuse treatment.  Add to that money for attorney's fees, possible loss of employment and other intangible costs.  Not to mention that you could hurt or kill someone.

So plan ahead if you're going to tie one on for St. Pat's.  Use a designated driver!
