Homecoming King Gives Crown to his Best Friend

"I think it should've gone to the person who positively uplifts the school and everybody around him, and that person is K.L., for sure."

Max Akin is the quarterback for Fossil Ridge High School in Keller, Texas. He and his friend K.L., who has cerebral palsy, were both nominated for homecoming king. When Max was presented with the crown after the game, he turned around and immediately presented it to K.L.

This speaks volumes, personally. I remember in high school, the same popular kids got to experience everything: sports awards, student-voted awards, homecoming/prom court, etc. I have no doubt that Max is one of these kids, but for him to be so selfless is AMAZING. Everybody at this high school will remember his kindness, especially K.L.
