HGTV ‘House Hunters’ to Feature Local Family

As a huge fan of the HGTV show "House Hunters", this story has me pretty geeked up.  The popular show just filmed here in Genesee County with a local Grand Blanc couple and I for one can't wait to watch.

Matt and Katie Bach applied to be on the show along with local Re/Max Edge realtor Jonathan Schlinker. The HGTV crew traveled to town recently to film the journey of the Bach's finding their perfect home in Flint. Schlinker told me that the couple has always  loved Flint and was excited about moving back into the  city and being part of all the fabulous revitalization going on. "I myself grew up here and love Flint. I'm passionate about everything going on right now and was thrilled to be part of this", Schlinker said.

The show chronicles home buyers searching for a new place to hang their hat, showcasing 3 homes and then finally deciding on one. The Bach's are leaving a newer home in the Grand Blanc area to settle into that perfect place to call home  in the city. Of course we can't share the details of the episode just yet, but Schlinker hints that everyone is very happy with the outcome.  He also notes that the HGTV crew loved Flint and enjoyed their time here. "There's been so much negativity with our city in the news and a nationally, it's great to see something positive and have a chance to show people what Flint is really about', Schlinker says. "I can't wait for the world to get a inside glimpse of Flint real estate".

The episode featuring the Bach's and Jonathan will air sometime the beginning of next year on HGTV.
