Health Officials: Measles Case Confirmed in SE Michigan
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is urging Michigan residents to get vaccinated, as the first case of measles in 2017 has been recorded.
WHTC reports that the victim, from the Detroit area, is recovering and is thought to have contracted the disease overseas.
Measles begins with a runny nose, cough, and fever, before turning into an itchy rash.
