Have You Seen This Bunny? Michigan Mom Puts Out a Facebook APB for Lost Toy
We've all been there. You're on vacation or taking the kiddos for an overnight stay and the unthinkable happens - you lose a blanket or cherished stuffed animal.
This is when we embrace Facebook for its good rather than its evil.
A mom from Michigan did just that after her family made a recent trip to Chicago. The return trip, however, was a little lighter as one member of the family didn't make it into the car for the ride home.
The bunny has been her daughter Elsu's constant companion for all of her seven years. Jessica Dunek made the appeal on her Facebook page, asking everyone to share it far and wide.
"She looks like this, but a little more loved. She jingles when you bounce her. She has been a lifelong toy for El. She was lost between the Palmer House and parking at 55 E Monroe on 12.30.2021."
We are so hoping this story has a happy ending. If you have any information about this girl's cherished friend, CBS 2 in Chicago is coordinating the search efforts.
Dunek says she contacted the hotel but hasn't heard any good news yet. She notes that the bunny could have gone into the laundry with the hotel's bedding, so she's contacted the hotel's linen service.
Have you ever been in this situation? How did it turn out? We lost one of our boys' blankets in a public bathroom at Disneyworld in Florida when they were about three. A maintenance worker found it and had it set aside for us when we went back to look for it. And he wouldn't even take a tip when I offered it.
