Don't panic; parades that are already scheduled will still happen.

One of the things that came out of the coronavirus pandemic early on were parades. No, not like the 4th of July parade; just people, in cars, driving by their friends & loved ones' homes for birthdays, graduations, etc. It's a great way to show your support for somebody that you care about while also social distancing at the same time.

We had multiple parades make their way through our neighborhood in the last few months with the Burton Police Department.

Now, with the Stay Home, Stay Safe order being lifted in Michigan, the Grand Blanc Township Police Department has announced that they will no longer be participating in any new parades.

With the recent change to our stay at home orders, we will no longer be scheduling birthday drive-bys. If you already have one scheduled we will still be stopping by. It was so much fun, for our officers, to be apart of these celebrations and to meet so many amazing kids! Officers will continue patrolling our neighborhoods and engaging with the community. So be sure and wave and if you ask, they will even turn on their lights and siren.

A HUGE thank you to all of the law enforcement and first responders who made so many birthdays and events special during the coronavirus quarantine. We loved seeing them roll through our neighborhood.
