The stray cat is facing an uphill battle, and the good people at Lucky Day Animal Rescue are here to help him through it.

Lucky Day is a non-profit rescue located in Grand Blanc. They were contacted by a good samaritan who regularly feeds a feral colony of cats and just noticed that one of the cats had severe injuries, and the rescue stepped in to help.

The vet believes that his injuries were caused by fireworks over the 4th of July. The Facebook post says that the inside of his mouth is burned and his jaw is broken, indicating that this was done on purpose.

He's very friendly and the rescue has named him Braveheart. They're contacting the police department today to investigate who may have done this to the poor kitty. He will probably need a CT scan today and his vet bills are getting bigger. If you want to donate to Braveheart, you can PayPal a donation to Gretchen@luckydayanimalrescue.org or donate through their Facebook page.
