Grand Blanc HS Drumline On Their Way To World Championships [VIDEO]

Excuse me while I expose my inner band-geek for a second. 

After watching this video, I'm not surprised in the slightest that the Grand Blanc High School Winter Drumline are the state champions.

The students are on their way to the Winter Guard International (WGI) Championships in Dayton, Ohio today, after winning the state championship for the first time ever. They topped their 2nd place finish from last year.

Preliminary rounds for percussion will start tomorrow, with the top groups competing on Friday and the final competition on Saturday.

Not gonna lie - I'm hyped for them. Not just because our son is part of the GB school system and wants to play in the band, but because I was a member of my high school drumline. Is my inner band-geek showing yet?
