New, Tantalizing Sweet Cookie Battle is Baking in Michigan

Calling all Michigan sweet treat fans. If you or anyone you know is obsessed with gourmet cookies, you'll be thrilled with a new battle brewing in the Mitten.

Crumbl causes an instant stir and obsession as soon as word gets out about new locations. It's because they're delicious and there's always something new to try.

Currently, they have around 20 locations in southern Michigan.

But a new competitor is about to plow its way into the gourmet confection scene.

Cookie Battle Gets "Dirty"

Following the settlement of a lawsuit brought by Crumbl, anyone with a sweet tooth will notice Dirty Dough shops popping up all around the state and country.

Dirty Dough is Crumbl's official, direct competitor. The concepts are different, dough, though.

Dirty is known for stuffing its cookies with anything from chocolate, nougat, marshmallow, caramel or anything else that's sweet.

Dirty Dough only has one location in Michigan at the moment. That's just off I-94 & 23 Mile and Gration Ave (50944 Gratiot Ave, New Baltimore, MI 48051).

That location is directly across the street from Crumbl in Chesterfield (the border is along 23 Mile).

Rapid Rise for Dirty Dough

According to Restaurant Business Online, the company is about to explode with growth.

In addition to the 55-plus units open currently, roughly 40 Dirty Dough franchise locations are under construction and another 250 signed agreements, with a total of 450 under development. - Gregg Majewski, CEO Craveworthy Brands

Craveworthy Brands owns several other restaurant concepts including BD's Mongolian Grill, Genghis Grill, Flat Top Grill, Wing It On, The Bud Long (southern chicken), Krafted Burger Bar + Tap, Soom Soom (Mediterranean), plus a few "virtual brands" or ghost kitchen concepts.
