Genesee County Animal Shelter Offers Free Adoptions This Weekend
The Genesee County Animal Shelter has no shortage of homeless pets, and they want to find them all forever homes. The shelter is a no-kill shelter, so they have to find homes for all their pets so they can take more.
According to ABC12, the shelter has around 150 pets that are looking for loving families. The Genesee County Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions this weekend to help families find their perfect pet.
If you would like to adopt a pet you will be asked to fill out an application, give vet references, and disclose any other pets you have in your home. The goal of being a no-kill shelter is to find all their pets homes, but they want to match the available pets with the best homes possible.
The Genesee County Animal Shelter has everything from small dogs to big dogs to kittens to older cats. The free adoption event is 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday at their location on Pasadena Ave in Flint. If you do plan on adopting an animal this weekend you must turn in the application by 3 pm on Friday. You can download the application here.
