Over the weekend, we heard news of GM planning to make an official announcement today regarding more money going into a plant. WNEM reports they have made it official that they will invest $328 million  to get ready for the Flint plant to build the next generation of Chevrolet and GMC full size trucks.

Obviously this is huge news especially since 150 more jobs will be created for the project. UAW-GM Vice President, Joe Ashton, says trucks are a very important source of revenue:

'"We are confident that the next-generation of trucks will continue to be an important source of revenue for the company and jobs for our members. Our members are ready to use their abundant talents to build high-quality trucks that deliver exceptional value to our customers.'"

General Motors plans to invest money in eight states and Michigan will be receiving a big chunk of this investment.
