Flintstones Being Rebooted, Thanks to Family Guy Creator

Yabba, Dabba, Doo!  Frederick Joseph Flintstone will make a triumphant return in 2013, thanks to "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane.

But will prehistoric clan (sing it with me) from the.....town of Bedrock still have same G-rated, family-friendly charm?  MacFarlane isn't saying.  He told Media Banter:  "The very first cartoon character I drew at age 2 was Fred Flintstone, so it's appropriate that events have come full circle, allowing me to produce the newest incarnation of this great franchise. Plus, I think America is finally ready for an animated sitcom about a fat, stupid guy with a wife who's too good for him."

If I had to guess, I'd say the new Flintstones series will have more in common with other Fox families like the Simpsons and the Griffins, than it does with the Huxtables.
