ABC-12 reports that the Flint School District is considering outsourcing bussing, which means several people could lose their jobs. The district is looking at the possibility of hiring a private company and union leader for the bus drivers Howard Gordon is not happy with this news:

'"Certainly, we don't support the privatizing and I think that needs to be made very clear. This union believes that the provision of bus transportation services to the students and the parents in the community of Flint schools is best served by school district employees.'"

Howard went on to say that if a private company is hired then most likely they would lay off the current drivers who would then have to reapply for their job. The district says they're looking at all options and nothing has been set in stone. Union leaders and the district will continue to meet tomorrow for further discussion.
