Here's a sweet local pupdate to start your day!

Yesterday, the Flint Police Department introduced two new members of its K-9 team, bringing the total number of dog officers to four.

Ladies and germs, meet Whiskey and Casino.

Sonitrol Great Lakes donated one of the dogs and also took care of its vet bills, training and food costs. The Fraternal Order of Police wrote a check to cover continuing medical care and other pet-owning expenses.

A fun fact that we learned during Roof Sit in July - K-9 officers communicate with their handlers through different languages so that criminals cannot give them commands. The officer from Grand Blanc was talking to his dog in Dutch.

Welcome to the force, pups!
