Are you ready for some football? A new football league for kids is coming to Flint.

The Flint Police Activities League has announced the development of a new tackle football league. The league is open to all City of Flint kids between the ages of 7 and 12. Cheer leading will also be available for those between 5 and 12.

The new football league will be part of the Genesee County Football League and joins teams from Davison, Mayville, Lakeville, Lapeer and Goodrich. Conditioning for the league begins immediately and will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays until school starts. Games will be on Saturdays and home games will be held in Atwood Stadium.

Cost for the league is $75 and participants must provide documentation of a sports physical and a birth certificate.  Registration forms are available at the Haskell Youth Center and on the Flint PAL website here.
