A four-year-old child on his way to Eagle's Nest Child Care was left on the bus for as many as six hours yesterday. WJRT-TV reports that the bus monitor has been fired in the wake of the situation.

It was just over two years ago that a three-year-old was left on a Beecher school bus for close to three hours.  The stories are similar because both boys had fallen asleep on the bus.  The difference is that the temperature in Flint was 60 degrees when the boy in Beecher was overlooked, yesterday's high temperature in Flint was only 11.

Was firing the bus monitor enough of a response, or should more action be taken to prevent this from happening again in the future?
