You’re First, Flint! McDonald’s Bringing Back Breakfast Chicken Sandwiches

Every once in a while, it's nice to be at the front of the line. McDonald's is bringing back its yummy chicken breakfast sandwiches and Flint restaurants will get them before any other Michigan locations.

Yup, I'm making a big deal out of this (maybe more so than it deserves). But I love chicken and I could eat it three times a day. So, in my opinion, a Mickey D's chicken sammy is kind of a big deal.

McDonald's Breakfast Chicken Sandwiches

McDonald's restaurants in Flint will begin serving these breakfast chicken sandwiches on Tuesday, June 4.

The two new offerings aren't really new; McDonald's introduced its McChicken Biscuit in 2008 as a Southern Style Chicken Biscuit. The item hitting McDonald's' menu next week is billed as having a breaded chicken patty, rather than a Southern-style patty.

The other sandwich is the Chicken McGriddle. It's a breaded chicken patty in between two sweetened pancakes. That's a new offering here in Michigan.

The Chicken McGriddle has been introduced and tested in Kansas, Ohio, and Florida and has seen limited availability in parts of Canada. But it seems that folks in those test markets must have liked it because now it's being introduced here in the Mitten.

Flint McDonald's Plans Special Giveaways

The McDonald's restaurant on Miller Rd. (near Ballenger Hwy.) is planning a special promotion as it debuts the new sandwiches on June 4. From 9 am until 10:30 am, customers who purchase one of the new breakfast sandwiches will receive a free small coffee. There will also be free McDonald's swag and coupon giveaways.

The new sandwiches will also be available at other Flint-area McDonald's restaurants, according to WJRT-TV.
