Flint Area Families Can Benefit From Free Food Distributions This Summer
Several free food distributions are planned for this summer and families from Flint and the surrounding area are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity.
This is a cause that I'm personally very excited about, and proud of as well. Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc, in cooperation with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, sponsors the monthly food distributions. This is the 16th year the Grand Blanc church has held food distributions in order to help those who be looking for a little extra help.
Proud to Serve Genesee County
Pastor Nathan Allen says the food distribution program is one of the ways the church helps serve the community.
“For those of us who are members of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, these food distributions are one way we show love for our neighbors in need," Allen says. "These past few years have been particularly hard on many people in our community, so we see this as one way our church can put our faith into action and be a positive presence for Genesee County.”
