Genesee County Animal Control staff would like to know who had the nerve to dump five small dogs in front of the office on Pasadena Avenue in Flint.

The animals were dropped off in a cage around 4:00 pm Saturday while the office was closed for the weekend.

Who Dumped Five Dogs at Genesee County Animal Control?

Genesee County Animal Control posted the information on Facebook, saying that the five animals had been left outside the office Saturday afternoon. They believe two men driving a white pick-up truck are responsible, and say they'll review surveillance video footage to learn more.

If you have any additional information, you're asked to contact Genesee County Animal Control directly.

Officials with Animal Control say the animals are now in good hands, but note that placing them will be easier if they have a history, behavioral information, and the ages of the dogs.

Getting Rid of a Pet in Genesee County

There are proper ways to 'rehome' or 'surrender' animals in Genesee County, and dumping them in front of Animal Control is not one of them.

If you need to surrender a pet at Genesee County Animal Control, it's best to do so in the morning. The office accepts surrendered pets on weekdays from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and from Noon to 4:00 pm.

You may be able to surrender a pet at the Humane Society of Genesee County, located on Dort Highway in Burton. Space is sometimes limited, so pet owners may be directed to the Animal Control office on Pasadena Avenue in Flint.
