Fifth Graders Raise Money for Families in Need – The Good News [VIDEO]
It all started after their teacher lost her sister in a car accident.
Katrina Kloess is a teacher in Tinley Park, Illinois. Her sister Katie was driving to a basketball game when she was tragically killed in a car accident. Katrina said that she grieved, but needed to return to her students. When she got back to school, she gave each student a dollar as part of a pay-it-forward campaign she does with them every Christmas.
The students, seeing that their beloved teacher was still grieving, decided to make a YouTube video and raise even more money - $400 - to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.
It's so wonderful to hear of children doing charitable things. Teach them early!
