Fenton Students Read with Shelter Pets – The Good News [VIDEO]
Little Buster joined Fenton students for "March is Reading Month."
Over 100 kids at State Road Elementary in Fenton were gathered together to read Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree while Buster, an 11-week-old Pit Bull mix roamed around the room. Reading to the dogs can calm the animals, according to shelter volunteers.
Adopt-a-Pet of Fenton, a non-profit organization, has been bringing animals into the school during the month of March to help kids improve their reading skills.
Buster is up for adoption - he's fixed and "ready to go," according to shelter volunteers. Can they bring him to the radio station so I can read to him, please and thank you?
