Fenton ‘Center of Hope’ Food Pantry has Larger Location – The Good News [VIDEO]
The center will be able to help out more families this Christmas season.
Their new location is called the free choice pantry, where patrons are allowed to pick out the foods they want with donated grocery carts.
You'd be surprised at some of the people who come to the pantry for food, which is largely from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Crystal is a mother of three, who is also taking care of a teenager who is staying with her. She and her husband own a small business, but with Thanksgiving and Christmas back-to-back, things get tight this time of the year. She says that she likes to come here because you can pick out your own food.
Center of Hope was created by Jennifer and Bob Strygulec, who wanted to help out their community in a faith-based way. Frankly, we can't think of a better way to do it. Thank you!
