Fake Retail Websites Scamming Shoppers
There's a consumer alert for online shoppers this holiday season.
Example: A fake Coach website called Coachpoppyback.com was discovered by a 16 year old shopper, it cost her over$300. Law enforcement says, it's not that there are more fake web sites, it's just that there are more online shoppers . A secure website will have one of two things when you put in private info: a lock symbol or "https" will appear on the website address. If your not sure , do not use the site.
