Enterovirus Confirmed In Genesee County School

In a newsletter sent to parents of a local school, the Genesee Intermediate School District has confirmed that a Genesee County student has tested positive for Enterovirus.

WJRT-TV reports that the student attends the Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center on Maple Road in Flint. School officials told parents via the newsletter that the virus is common, and asked parents to remind their children to wash their hands frequently. The district also strongly urges all parents to keep their kids home when they're sick.
