Target, Macy's, Best Buy and Kohl's have all announced their plans to open their stores at midnight on Thanksgiving for Black Friday. Wal-Mart plans to open at 10pm on Thanksgiving in order to get more shoppers to their store, but now employees are fighting back because they don't want to work on Thanksgiving.

Over 40,000 people signed an online petition on change.org to get Target to reverse its decision to open its doors on Thanksgiving. Employees are saying it's not that they mind working, but they want to be able to enjoy the holiday, instead of having to leave in the middle of the meal to get to work early.

I don't blame employees for signing the petition, so hopefully these stores will change their minds. Personally, I think it's a bit much the stores are opening even earlier for Black Friday because who really needs to start shopping on Thanksgiving? What do you think?
