Ask anyone in Michigan about their summers and it's a guarantee that DTE Music Theatre is part of the plan or the memories.

Still often referred to as Pine Knob, as it was known before the name change in 2001, DTE has been the hot spot for outdoor concerts since it opened on June 25, 1972. The inaugural show was none other than teen idol David Cassidy with a matinee performance. Andy Williams offered up the first evening show that night. The venue ranks among the top-selling outdoor concert venues in the world and has won dozens of awards in the industry and is always a stop for major tours during the season.

This year however, things will look very different for the Independence Township venue due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With a stacked schedule of shows announced earlier in the year, DTE is now finding tours canceling date. Amid so much uncertainty, the summer concert  scenery may face a change, but hopefully we can still salvage of little bit of the Michigan summer tradition.

DTE was kicking things off May 28th with the first show of the summer season being Chris Young. That show has now been canceled.

Here's a look at shows currently canceled or begin rescheduled.
